Israeli “democracy”

It’s actually not in Israelis’ interest to claim their country is a democracy.
Let’s concede for a minute that “Israel” is indeed a democracy for themselves after having expelled the indigenous Palestinian population.

That would mean its criminal actions are supported by its people.

Usually, when you talk about Arab states’ crimes (e.g. Saudi Arabia’s collaboration with the US or Egypt’s contribution to the seige of Gaza) we say those governments do not really represent their people because they were not democratically elected. Arab peoples are for the most part victims of their own governments. So the Saudi and Egyptian people are more or less off the hook.

But the Israeli people can’t be exonerated, if their government does in fact represent them as they claim.
